Individuals Level

(Your Team Levels might be different.) *If you have any individuals that you intend to be in a different level, please specify below in the notes section. +(Onyx, Sapphires, and Rubies are not required to do any individuals if they wish) Competition Team Member Individual Event Requirements (Diamonds, Topaz, Emeralds, Jades) (All individual dances are required to be passed off to compete. If you are allowed to try higher level solos than your team you will need to keep up on the lower level ones as well in case you do not pass off the higher level ones) This year we are NOT requiring comp teams to dance AA Solos. You will be required, however, to have at least 2 individual dance "units" learned, passed off, and dance everything at each competition and performance. AA Solos, Freestyles, A Cappellas, Duets (w/approval), and (NEW) Choreographed Solos are available to choose from. (Choreo solos will need to be approved by us. They are an actual solo done by 1 person and are the length of a duet (~1 min 30 sec). By Nationals you must dance enough for at least 2 individuals units: -1 Freestyle we will count as 1 unit. -1 Individual A Cappella we will count as 1 unit. -1 Long Duet (w/approval) we will count as 2 units. -1 Short or A Cappella Duet we will only count as 1 unit. -2 AA Solos we will only count as 1 unit. -4 AA Solos we will only count as 2 units. -1 Choreographed Solo (w/approval) will count as 2 units. We will be checking your progress each class.

Duets

It is required that Duets have prior approval by the director and also have a teacher help them with choreography. You must be able to show the director and "pass it off" before the registration date. $22 per each duet partner by Mar. 27th.

Choreographed Solo

A Choreographed Solo is danced by yourself and can be up to 90 seconds long. You must get approval by the director to compete a choreographed solo and it is recommended that you have help from a teacher to put it together. You must be able to show the director and "pass it off" before the registration date.

Please take note of your competition fees and pay by Mar. 27th. If you have trouble with this, contact us. Fees will not be billed to your account until after we know what you are registering for. After Mar. 27th, late fees will be charged an additional $3-$6 per event. Any events registered at the competition will be charged $27-$30 each (if they have room for new events).
